Here's how the live training program works:
The Live Training + Online Program gives you the state-mandated textbook material plus supplemental* training to prepare you for a successful career in real estate. This 3-month program includes live instruction (Webinar or In-Person) and online coursework for the following REQUIRED COURSES:

FREQUENCY OF TRAINING -- (How many classes are included?)
If you choose weekdays - 2 times a week (6 two-hour sessions a month)
If you choose Saturdays - once a week (3 four-hour sessions a month)
Classes are held for the first 3 weeks of each month, and the 4th week you will have off to take the quizzes and complete the course final exam online.
DURATION OF CLASSES -- (How long do I have access to the classes?)
You will receive 3 consecutive months of training. You will cover 1 course a month. Concurrently, you receive 6 months of online access to the courses to read the e-Books, take chapter quizzes, and pass the course final exams. Keep in mind, the chapter quizzes and course exams are OPEN BOOK!

FAQs about Getting Your License in Florida
To make the process easier, here are the most common questions we get from students becoming agents about what it takes to get licensed and start a career in real estate.
1. How much does a Florida real estate license cost?
The total estimated cost ranges from $270 to $700.
- 63-Hour Pre-License Course: $100 – $500 (varies by provider).
- Application Fee: $83.75
- State Exam Fee: $36.75
- Fingerprinting/Background Check: $50 – $80
2. How long does it take to get a license in Florida?
Most applicants finish the process in 2 to 5 months. While the 63-hour course can be completed in as little as one week, you should allow 4 to 6 weeks for the DBPR to process your application and background check before you are cleared to schedule your state exam.
3. What are the requirements for a Florida real estate license?
- Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Complete 63 hours of approved pre-license education.
- Pass the course final exam with a 70% and the state exam with a 75%.
- Submit electronic fingerprints for a background check.
- Note: You do not need to be a Florida resident to get a license.
4. Does Florida have license reciprocity with other states?
Florida does not offer traditional reciprocity. Instead, it has Mutual Recognition agreements with 10 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, Rhode Island, and West Virginia.
- The Catch: You must be a non-resident of Florida at the time of application.
- The Benefit: If you qualify, you can skip the 63-hour course and only take a 40-question Florida Law Exam (passing score of 30/40).
5. What is the mandatory "Post-License" requirement?
All new Florida sales associates must complete 45 hours of Post-Licensing education before their first license renewal (which occurs 18–24 months after licensure).
Warning: Florida has no grace period. If you fail to complete this 45-hour course by your deadline, your license will become Null and Void, and you must start the entire 63-hour pre-license process over.
6. Can I take the Florida real estate exam online?
Currently, Florida requires the state licensing exam to be taken in person at an authorized Pearson VUE testing center. Popular locations include Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville.
7. How often do I need to renew my Florida real estate license?
Licenses expire every two years on either March 31 or September 30.
- First Renewal: Requires the 45-hour Post-License course.
- Subsequent Renewals: Requires 14 hours of Continuing Education (CE).
- Fee: Approximately $32 for sales associates.
