Enroll in the appropriate continuing education courses before your license renewal deadline. Salespersons must complete 24 hours of CE, while brokers need 30 hours every two years. Both include mandatory and elective subjects to stay compliant with state guidelines.
Courses can be taken online, in-person, or virtually. You’ll need to cover mandatory topics such as Agency Law, Contract Law, and Real Estate Legal Issues, with additional broker-specific topics for brokers. Elective courses round out your required hours.
Once you’ve completed your courses, your provider will report your credits to the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE). Be sure to retain your course completion certificates and renew your license online before it expires to avoid penalties.

ARIZONA REAL ESTATE LICENSE RENEWAL
In Arizona, real estate professionals are required to complete continuing education (CE) every two years to maintain their active licenses. Salespersons and associate brokers must complete 24 hours of CE, while designated and delegated brokers are required to complete 30 hours. These hours include mandatory core topics such as Agency Law, Contract Law, Fair Housing, and Real Estate Legal Issues, with brokers needing additional coursework in Broker Management Clinics.
The remaining hours can be completed through elective courses. Courses can be taken online or in-person, and credits are submitted to the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) upon completion.
