How Our Broker's Course Works
1. Meet the Eligibility Requirements
Before pursuing a real estate broker license, verify that you meet your state's eligibility criteria. This typically includes holding an active real estate salesperson license and accumulating a certain amount of experience, such as two to three years working under a licensed broker.
2. Complete the Required Education
Enroll in and complete the mandatory broker pre-licensing education with our comprehensive courses. Our program is flexible, allowing you to learn at your own pace.
3. Apply for the Broker License Exam
Once you finish your education, apply for the Broker License exam. We offer detailed assistance and a checklist to ensure you have all necessary documents.
4. Pass the State Broker Examination
After your application is approved, take the state Broker Exam. We provide exam prep tools and resources to help you succeed.
What to Expect
Complete a 60-hour Associate Broker course approved by the Maine Real Estate Commission (MREC). This specialized program is designed to prepare experienced real estate professionals for the added responsibilities of operating a brokerage or overseeing a sales team. Structured for flexible, interactive learning, the course covers all state-mandated topics, including brokerage operations, trust account management, and advanced business strategies. To successfully finish the program, you must pass each course exam with a minimum score of 75%. Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to apply for a Broker license in Maine, provided you meet the Commission’s experience requirements.
