What to Expect


In Utah, newly licensed real estate sales agents must complete 18 hours of post-licensing education before their first license renewal.
This mandatory training ensures that new agents expand on their foundational knowledge, stay informed about Utah’s real estate regulations, and adopt best practices for serving clients effectively.
Required Post-License Education for Utah Real Estate Sales Agents
Total Hours: 18 hours of state-approved post-licensing courses
- 15 hours of core coursework
- 3 hours of elective coursework
Consequence of Non-Completion: If you fail to meet the 18-hour requirement, your license may be placed on inactive status, preventing you from legally practicing real estate until the requirement is fulfilled.
