The New Jersey real estate exam is administered by PSI. For salesperson candidates, your education provider will provide your eligibility electronically to PSI upon successful completion of the course requirements. After your provider has submitted your file to PSI, applicants may go the following site: www.psiexams.com or call 855-579-4634 to register for the real estate exam.

Salesperson Examination: The exam consists of 110 questions and candidates have 4 hours to complete it.
Broker Examination: The exam consists of 115 questions and candidates have 4 hours to complete it.
The exam is multiple-choice and is given by computer. It can be taken at the following locations: Brick, Cherry Hill, Hamilton Square area, North Brunswick, New Providence, Linwood, Rochelle Park, Secaucus, and Parsippany.
The exam covers the following subject areas:
Salesperson Examination: A passing score is 70% or higher.
Broker Examination: A passing score is 70% or higher.
All candidates are required to bring 2 forms of identification. Identification must exactly match the candidate's name on their exam registration. All identification is required to be current and signature-bearing. The primary form of identification can be any of the following:

Student IDs and employment IDs are NOT acceptable forms of identification.
Note: Broker exam candidates must also bring their Certificate of Examination Eligibility.
