KANSAS REAL ESTATE LICENSE RENEWAL
In Kansas, real estate professionals must complete 12 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years to maintain an active license. This includes a mandatory 3-hour Kansas Required Core Course, covering topics such as brokerage relationships, common violations, and advertising rules. The remaining 9 hours can be completed through elective courses on topics like Real Estate Ethics, Fair Housing, and Contract Law.
All continuing education hours must be completed before the license renewal deadline, which varies depending on the licensee’s initial licensure date. If CE requirements are not met by the expiration date, licensees can renew to inactive status or renew late with a $100 late fee. To reactivate an inactive license, all CE requirements must be fulfilled.
