To renew your California real estate license, complete 45 hours of DRE-approved continuing education, enter your course completion numbers in the DRE eLicensing portal, and pay your renewal fee. The DRE renewal fee is $350 for a salesperson and $450 for a broker when you renew on time, or $525 and $675 if you renew late within the two-year grace period — plus the cost of your 45-hour continuing education package.

The department of real estate requires agents to complete their CE materials prior to their license renewal date. If an agent is unable to complete their materials in time, they need to contact the DRE and review their next steps. You have 1 year from purchase date to complete your coursework.
Students are unable to pause their course materials after they have signed up. They are given one year, from their date of registration, to complete the materials. If more time is needed, an extension/re-enrollment can be purchased for a nominal fee.
Yes, we have a complete support staff available Monday - Fridays 9:30am-5pm
The minimum credit hours to complete the continuing education requirements is 45 hours. Students will not be tracked for time on our system. Students will however have a minimum amount of time before they are able to access their exams. Students are also limited to 15 credit hours being completed within a 24 hour period. Please review our recommendation for course completion details below for more information.
