What to Expect

In Louisiana, newly licensed real estate salespersons must complete a 45-hour post-licensing course within 180 days of receiving their initial license.
This mandatory education aims to strengthen your understanding of Louisiana’s real estate laws, ethical guidelines, and the practical aspects of conducting real estate transactions.
Required Post-License Course:
- Timeline: All 45 hours must be finished within 180 days from the date your salesperson license is issued.
- Consequence of Non-Completion: If the post-license requirement is not met within 180 days, your license may be suspended until all requirements are fulfilled, preventing you from legally practicing real estate.
