To help you prepare for the Virginia real state exam, we included information on how to schedule your exam, the exam’s format, and what you’ll be tested on. Now, all that's left to do is study with the best exam prep in the nation!
Virginia's real estate exam is administered by PSI. Candidates can schedule an exam online by visiting the following website: https://candidate.psiexams.com/vare or by calling PSI at 855-340-3910.

Broker Exam
Salesperson Examination: The exam consists of a national portion, which includes 80 questions, and a state portion, which includes 40 questions. Candidates have 150 minutes to complete the exam.
Broker Examination: The exam consists of a national portion, which includes 75 questions (80 points), and a state portion, which includes 50 questions. Candidates have 160 minutes to complete the exam.
The exam is in multiple-choice format and is given by computer. It may be taken at the following locations: Charlottesville, Richmond, Roanoke, Vienna, Virginia Beach, or in Johnson City, Tennessee, or Salisbury, Maryland.
The following categories are featured on both the Salesperson and Broker Licensing Exam. The percentages show the make-up of how many questions you should expect to see from each category.

Salesperson Examination: A passing score on the national portion is 56 questions answered correctly (70 percent), and 30 correct answers on the state portion (75 percent).
Broker Examination: A passing score on the national portion is 60 correct answers and on the state portion (75 percent), a passing score is 38 questions answered correctly (76 percent).
All candidates are required to bring 2 forms of identification. They must be current, include a signature, and match the name on the candidate's registration. One of them must include a photograph. The identification may be any of the following:
