COLORADO REAL ESTATE LICENSE RENEWAL

In Colorado, all real estate professionals are licensed as brokers, and there is no separate license for salespersons. Brokers are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education (CE) every three years to maintain an active license. This includes 12 hours of mandatory Annual Commission Update (ACU) courses, with 4 hours required each year.

The remaining 12 hours can be fulfilled through elective courses approved by the Colorado Division of Real Estate. Courses can be taken online, in-person, or virtually, and once completed, the credits are submitted to the Division before the license renewal deadline.

The Colorado Division of Real Estate charges a $387 fee to renew a broker license, which you pay to the state, not to us. Course cost plus that state fee is the full picture of what renewal runs you.

Colorado runs on a three-year cycle, and the Annual Commission Update is meant to be taken once each year, so spreading the 24 hours across the cycle keeps you compliant and avoids a last-minute scramble.
