What to Expect


In Ohio, newly licensed real estate salespersons must complete 20 hours of post-licensing education within the first 12 months of licensure.
Newly licensed real estate brokers in Ohio must complete 10 hours of post-licensing education within the first 12 months of licensure.
Consequence of Non-Completion: Failing to meet the requirement within the first year can result in your license becoming inactive or suspended, preventing you from legally practicing real estate until the requirement is met.
Salesperson: Ohio license law, agency duties, contract essentials, risk management, and ethics.
Broker: brokerage operations, advanced license law, fair housing, trust account supervision, and liability reduction strategies.
